President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with President of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.

Zelensky reported this on social media, Ukrinform saw.

"I spoke with President Nataša Pirc Musar to congratulate Slovenia on its non-permanent UN Security Council membership and express our hope for Slovenia’s strong voice in support of Ukraine.

Following Slovenia's participation in the recent Peace Formula meeting in Davos, I invited it to attend the future Global Peace Summit," Zelensky wrote on X.

The head of state noted the fact that Slovenia had joined the G7 Vilnius Declaration. According to Zelensky, the parties discussed “the launch of work on bilateral security commitments based on the G7 Vilnius Declaration”

In addition, Zelensky briefed his counterpart on Ukraine’s priority defense needs and thanked for the provided defense and humanitarian support.

“I appreciate Slovenia's defense and humanitarian assistance, its involvement in the establishment of rehabilitation centers in Kharkiv and the Zhytomyr region, and the reconstruction of a hospital in Izyum,” the posting reads.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukraine and Slovenia signed on December 5 an agreement laying down a EUR 1.5 million donation for humanitarian demining of Ukrainian territories.
