War update: 98 clashes on frontline since morning, fighting ongoing in seven sectors

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“Since the start of the day, 98 combat clashes have occurred on the frontline,” the update reads, as of 16:00.

According to the General Staff, the enemy shelled the settlements of Senkivka and Yasna Poliana in Chernihiv region, Bachivsk, Bila Bereza, and Bobylivka in Sumy region.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Russian forces launched seven attacks on Ukrainian positions; fighting continues. They also carried out five airstrikes using 14 guided bombs and conducted 104 shellings, including two with multiple rocket launch systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, seven clashes occurred; the enemy attacked Vovchansk, Odradne, and Zapadne.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops attempted three advances toward Ukrainian positions near Kupiansk and Petropavlivka. Two attacks were successfully repelled; one clash is ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled five enemy offensives near Kolodiazi, Novoselivka, Torske, and Shandryholove; three clashes continue.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy attacks near Yampil.

In the Kramatorsk sector, one Russian attack near Kostiantynivka was repelled.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian troops launched eight assaults near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Kleban-Byk, Rusyn Yar, Yablunivka, and Poltavka. All attempts were stopped.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy attempted 38 attacks near Volodymyrivka, Nikanorivka, Nove Shakhove, Zolotyi Kolodiaz, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Rodynske, Mykolaivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, and toward Novoukrainka and Filiia. Two clashes are ongoing.

In the Novopavlivka sector, 18 enemy attacks occurred near Piddubne, Sichneve, Komyshuvakha, Novomykolaivka, and Novoivanivka. Four clashes are ongoing.

In the Orikhiv and Prydniprovske sectors, no enemy offensive actions were reported.

In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three enemy attacks near Poltavka. One attempt failed, while two clashes continue.

On other fronts, there were no significant changes in the situation, according to the General Staff.

Previously, Ukrinform reported that Russian forces are concentrating assault groups near the settlement of Dachi on the left bank of Kherson region, attempting to capture strategically important positions near the Antonivskyi bridges.
