According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this in a Facebook post, updating on the situation as of 08:00 Tuesday, September 29.
The enemy carried out 86 airstrikes, dropping 253 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, Russian forces used 9,883 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,415 attacks on settlements and Ukrainian military positions, including 32 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems.
In Sumy region, the following settlements came under fire: Tovstodubove, Ulanove, Yastrubshchyna, Hyryne, Sopych, Bachivsk, Nova Sich, Potapivka, Koreniok, Rivne, Bezsalivka, Volfyne, Pavlivka, Kindrativka, Rohizne, Pysarivka, Korchakivka, Oleksiivka, Khrapivshchyna, and Zhuravka. In Chernihiv region, Mykhalchyna Sloboda came under fire. Russian forces also carried out airstrikes on the settlements of Luzhky, Khotin, Vakalivshchyna, and Mala Rybytsia.
Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck a concentration area of Russian personnel, five command and control posts, five locations associated with drone operations, one artillery system, and two logistics facilities.

The enemy carried out four airstrikes using nine guided aerial bombs and conducted 190 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and settlements.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled eight enemy attacks. Russian forces attempted to advance toward Nova Kozacha, Dovhenke, Khrypuny, Riznykove, and Lozova.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces made one attempt to improve their position and launched an attack toward Kupiansk.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 11 times in the areas of Ridkodub, Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Lyman, and Dibrova. Attempts to penetrate Ukrainian defenses were repelled.
In the Sloviansk direction, Russian forces conducted two assault actions near Yampil and Kryva Luka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked once near the settlement of Yurkivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, 22 attacks were recorded. Russian forces conducted assault operations in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Novoselivka, Dovha Balka, and Vilne, as well as toward Kucheriv Yar and Zolotyi Kolodiaz.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 30 attacks. According to updated information, Russian forces attempted to advance in the areas of Svitle and Molodetske and toward Dobropillia, Novohryshyne, Serhiivka, and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces attacked twice in the areas of Oleksandrohrad and Berezove.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions five times, including attempts to advance in the areas of Hirke, Huliaipilske, and Charivne and toward Vozdvyzhivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces made five attempts to improve their positions and attacked toward Novoandriivka, Yurkivka, Pavlivka, and Stepnohіrsk.
In the Prydniprovske direction, Russian forces did not conduct any assault operations.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, there were no signs of Russian offensive groupings being formed.
As Ukrinform reported, total Russian military casualties since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, through September 29, 2026, are estimated at approximately 1,532,500 personnel.
