Enemy fired over 3000 times at Ukraine over last day, 111 combat engagements took place in frontline

This was announced by the spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Kovalev on the air of the United News telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"A total of 111 combat engagements took place during the day. Russian terrorists also launched one missile and 44 air strikes over the past day. In particular, they used 47 guided aerial bombs and made over 3,000 attacks. In particular, 131 of them were conducted with the use of multiple launch rocket systems," said Kovalev.

He informed that Russian occupants continue their offensive in the Kharkiv sector. According to him, five combat engagements took place in this sector.

The fighting took place, in particular, in the area of Lyptsi and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk sector, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 13 enemy attacks in the area of Synkivka, Cherneshchyna, Druzhelyubivka, Stepova, Novoselivka in Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region.

Kovalev informed that in the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled seven enemy attacks in the area of Nevske and Serebryanske forestry in Luhansk region. 

In the Northern sector, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 10 attacks in the areas of Verkhnekamianske, Vyymka and Rozdolivka.

Kovalev also said that in the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian troops stopped 13 attempts by Russian occupants to break through the defences of Ukrainian troops, and in the Toretsk sector, the enemy made two unsuccessful attempts to break through the defences of Ukrainian troops near the village of Bila Hora in Donetsk region.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 32 attacks in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Sokil, Novoselivka Persha, Novopokrovske, Ptyche, Progress, Yevhenivka, Umanske, Yasnobrodivka, Nevynske in Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to drive Ukrainian units from their positions.

In the Kukharivka sector, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka and Paraskoviivka, where Russian invaders tried to break through the defences of Ukrainian troops 10 times.

In the Vremivsk sector, the enemy made 7 unsuccessful attempts to break through the defences of Ukrainian troops in the direction of Staromayorske and Urozhayne in Donetsk region.

In the Orikhivsk sector, there were 8 combat engagements in the area of Mali Shcherbaky, Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Prydniprovsky sector, Russian troops are trying to force Ukrainian units out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Over the past 24 hours, Russian invaders launched four attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces in this area.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of 6 June, the Ukrainian Defence Forces destroyed 17 out of 18 Russian Shahed-131/136 attack drones.
