The entire might of Russia’s ground forces is now concentrated on the territory of Ukraine, amounting to 462,000 soldiers and officers.

That’s according to Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, who spoke during an UP broadcast, reports Ukrinform.

"Our outlool, our assessment is very simple – today Russia has no capabilities to conduct strategic land offensive operations against other countries because the entire resource of their ground component is now targeting and deployed in our territory," he said.

As for the possibility of individual strikes by strategic aviation, Skibitskyi noted, this has nothing to do with it.

"Right now, indeed, there is a challenge, but there is no imminent threat that a war will start tomorrow in the Baltic States as there’s simply no one they can deploy to this end," the GUR official is convinced.

According to available intelligence, units of Russia’s 462,000-strong ground forces grouping currently fighting against Ukraine are staffed at 92-95%. In addition, 35,000 Russian Guardsmen operate in temporarily occupied territories.

"There were moments when the staffing of those units dropped to 89-90%, but due to continued mobilization, they manage to maintain this grouping at exactly this level, 92-95%," Skibitskyi said.

He added that this enables the Russian troops to run rotations, pull out depleted units for recovery, and to avoid a new wave of mobilization.

As reported earlier, since February 24, 2022, Ukraine’s Defense Forces of Ukraine have eliminated 366,790 Russian invaders.
