Russia is holding musicians of the orchestra of the 36th Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynsky in captivity, which is a direct violation of international humanitarian law.

That's according to Ukrinform, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reported on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

The Coordination Headquarters held a meeting with the families of the missing and captured musicians of the orchestra.

Representatives of the Reintegration and Post-Isolation Support Department of the Coordination Center noted that the orchestra musicians have the legal status of non-combatants. Thus, keeping military musicians hostage is a direct violation of international humanitarian law by the Russian Federation.

"Ukraine is making every effort to draw the attention of the international community to Russia's illegal detention of non-combatants," the Coordination Center emphasized.
