The United States, along with its allies and partners, will continue to punish Russia with sanctions and other restrictions for its war crimes and atrocities in Ukraine.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said this at a briefing on Monday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"We will continue to impose costs on Russia, hold them accountable for its war crimes, as we've talked about — you've heard directly from the President on the war crimes piece — and its atrocities, and providing Ukraine with security, economic, and humanitarian assistance," she said.

She also added that the United States strongly condemns Russia's latest missile strikes, "which continue to demonstrate Putin's brutality."
