The U.S. will hold a meeting of the armament chiefs of the defense agencies from over 40 countries with the aim of accelerating the arms production and delivery of military aid to Ukraine.

This was stated on Thursday during a briefing in the Pentagon by the spokesman for the U.S. Department of Defense, General Patrick Ryder, Ukrinform's own correspondent reports.

The session of the National Armament Directors Group will be held in Brussels later this week.

“The meeting includes armament directors and representatives from more than 40 nations, the European Union, and NATO focused on the global effort to accelerate the sourcing, production and sustainment of capabilities that are vital to Ukraine's defense against Russia's unprovoked and illegal invasion,” Ryder told journalists.

The meeting will be chaired by a U.S. representative, Dr. William LaPlante, Ryder added.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, US EUCOM Commander General Christopher Cavoli said Ukraine’s Armed Forces had received 98% of the weapons and equipment allocated by other countries as military aid to Ukraine.
