Zelensky presents von der Leyen with Order of Yaroslav the Wise

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has received an Order of Yaroslav the Wise, 1st class, from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
She wrote on Twitter that she had been handed the award during her visit to Kyiv.
"This is a great honor. I accept it in the name of all EU citizens. And as a symbol of our strong bond," she wrote.
Von der Leyen arrived in the Ukrainian capital on Thursday, September 15. This is her third visit to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
