It’s impossible to restore water supply in Mariupol, occupiers admit

"Mariupol. There is no water and there won't be any. The occupying authorities have finally admitted that the restoration of water supply to Livoberezhny district of Mariupol is impossible due to the destruction of the water supply system by Russian bombs. The same applies to a large part of Tsentralny and Prymorsky districts," Petro Andriushchenko, adviser to Mariupol mayor, posted on Telegram.

As noted, the funnel from a Russian FAB-1000 air-dropped bomb in the city center clearly shows why it is impossible to restore the water supply.

"Most supply systems are simply cannot be restored, and the construction of new ones will take years. Which the occupiers do not have," Andriushchenko emphasized.

Mariupol experiences one of the biggest humanitarian catastrophes caused by Russia's aggression. The city was almost completely destroyed by enemy shelling.

Currently, Mariupol has no normal power, water and gas supplies. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, up to 22,000 civilians have died in the city. More than 50,000 people have been deported to Russia and the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region.

Today, more than 100,000 people stay in the blocked city. Mariupol is on brink of environmental disaster and outbreak of infectious diseases.
