German howitzers to arrive in Ukraine in coming weeks – Ambassador

"In addition to howitzers, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive HIMARS systems, which are supplied together with Britain and the United States. HIMARS are now being assembled in Europe, and the Ukrainian military learns how to work with them," German Ambassador to Ukraine Anka Feldhusen said during the nationwide telethon on Saturday, Ukrinform reports with reference to zn.ua.

Moreover, according to her, modern anti-ballistic air defense systems, announced by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, are expected to be supplied in October.

"They are still being made," the German Ambassador said.

As reported, Olaf Scholz, together with President of France Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister of Italy Mario Draghi, and President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, made a visit to Ukraine on June 16. They and the Ukrainian leadership discussed steps to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities, global food security, European integration, and sanctions against Russia.
