491 children injured in Russian aggression against Ukraine

Russia’s full-scale armed aggression has killed 263 and injured 491 children in Ukraine.

"More than 754 children have been affected in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of June 10, 2022, the official child death toll has not changed – 263. The number of those injured rose to 491," the Prosecutor General's Office posted on Telegram.

The data are not final, as work is underway to establish casualties in places of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

According to the received data, the most children were affected in Donetsk region – 192, Kharkiv region – 132, Kyiv region – 116, Chernihiv region – 68, Luhansk region – 53, Kherson region – 52, Mykolaiv region – 48, Zaporizhzhia region – 30, Sumy region – 17, Kyiv city – 16 , Zhytomyr region – 15.

On June 7, two children, 14 and 17, were injured in the Russian shelling of Bakhmut district of Donetsk region.

An 11-year-old boy was injured in an explosive wave in Mykolayiv region on June 8.

A total of 1,971 educational institutions have been damaged due to Russian bombardments and strikes. Of these, 194 were completely destroyed.
