The U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee has voted in support to recommend Senate to approve Bridget Brink as U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine.

That’s according to Jim Risch, the Committee’s ranking member, Ukrinform reports.

“After three years without a U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, we finally have the opportunity to change the narrative,” Senator wrote on Twitter.

He stressed that Bridget Brink is “qualified and ready” to take the helm of the embassy in Kyiv.

“I hope the full Senate can come together & confirm her ASAP,” Senator Risch tweeted.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, until recently, Brink held a post of U.S. Ambassador to Slovakia.
