As of May 13, 226 children were killed and 420 were injured in Ukraine as a result of the military aggression waged by the Russian Federation.

"More than 646 children have been affected in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression waged by the Russian Federation. As of the morning of May 13, 2022, the official number of children killed has not changed – 226. The number of injured has risen to 420," the Prosecutor General’s Office informs.

Most children were affected in Donetsk region – 139, Kyiv region – 116, Kharkiv region – 99, Chernihiv region – 68, Kherson region – 48, Luhansk region – 45, Mykolayiv region – 44, Zaporizhzhia region – 28, Sumy region – 17, Kyiv city – 16, Zhytomyr region – 15.

"These figures are not final, as work is underway to establish casualties in places of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories," the Prosecutor General's Office noted.

Russian aggressors in Ukraine have grossly violated most of the provisions of the UN Security Council Resolution, which protects life and health, as well as the rights of children in armed conflict.
