Enemy pursuing offensive in Donetsk, Luhansk regions, assaulting Azovstal

“The enemy continues its offensive in the Eastern Operational Zone to establish full control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and maintain the land corridor between the regions and the occupied Crimea,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

"In Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the defenders of Ukraine repulsed eight enemy attacks, destroyed three tanks, eight artillery systems, seven armored combat vehicles, one vehicle, and three units of special engineering equipment of the enemy," the General Staff informed.

In Donetsk and Tavriysky directions, the enemy continues to fire artillery along the line of contact and uses operational and tactical aircraft to launch missile and bomb strikes on the positions of Ukrainian troops. In Mariupol, the Russians continue to block the units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces in the area of ​​the Azovstal plant. Assault operations were carried out in order to take control of the plant’s territory.

In Slobozhansky direction, the enemy continues to fire artillery on settlements near Kharkiv city. In Izium direction, the invaders conduct air reconnaissance with the use of UAVs in order to clarify the positions of Ukrainian troops. In the area of Tsyrkuny and Ruski Tyshky, the invaders blew up three road bridges in order to slow down the counter-offensive actions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

In the Southern Buh direction, the enemy fired artillery on Ukrainian positions and missiles on the civilian infrastructure of Mykolayiv city. In the settlement of Ivano-Kepyne, Ukraine’s Defense Forces destroyed a warehouse with ammunition and up to 20 units of enemy military equipment.

The enemy did not take active action in Polissia and Siversky directions.

In the temporarily occupied city of Kherson, the invaders take measures to secure the activities of the Russian occupation forces and support the Russian occupation regime. The number of roadblocks and mobile patrols has increased.

Over the past day, the Air Force and the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine downed 14 Orlan UAVs.

As reported, in Kharkiv direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine regained control over the settlements of Oleksandrivka, Fedorivka, Ukrayinka, Shestakovo, Peremoha, and part of the village of Cherkaski Tyshky.
