Japan will provide $300 million in financial assistance to Ukraine.

Japan's Ambassador to Ukraine Matsuda Kuninori said this at the High-Level International Donors' Conference in Support of Ukraine in Warsaw on Thursday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"On humanitarian aid. We have already promised and started providing $200 million. Secondly, on direct assistance to the budget, economic and financial support to Ukraine, we have pledged and will soon provide $300 million to the Ukrainian government," he said.

The Japanese ambassador added that Tokyo called on all governments to join the restoration of Ukraine when it becomes possible. He said that Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi called on Asian governments to join support for Ukraine, especially financially, and impose sanctions on Russia.

On May 5, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal is on a working visit to Warsaw, where the High-Level International Donors' Conference in Support of Ukraine is being held.
