Fresh fake news from the Kremlin regarding USA, Germany and arms supplies for Ukraine

The Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) at the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has compiled a new selection of fake news, manipulations and hoaxes spread by the Russian propaganda as of April 27, 2022.

The relevant statement was made by the CCD on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In particular, despite the continued supply of arms, the Russian mass media are claiming that some countries have already exhausted their arms stocks and are refusing to send weapons to Ukraine. Allegedly, “the Bundeswehr has halved the list of exported weapons, and Bulgaria is still delaying the supplies”. This is a manipulation, the CCD stressed.

Meanwhile, Belarusian propagandists have accused the West of its unwillingness to cease hostilities in Ukraine. According to Belarusian politician Gaidukevich, “Russia is interested in signing a peace treaty with Ukraine, but the United States wants to maintain this source of tension”. This is disinformation, the CCD noted.

In addition, the Russian propaganda, citing unidentified military experts, is claiming that “the U.S. arms stocks can deplete as soon as in several months, if the White House continues to send weapons to Ukraine”. This is a fake, the CCD warned.

A reminder that Russian propagandists are spreading disinformation about the so-called documents seized from the OSCE archives in Mariupol, which allegedly provide evidence of “the crimes committed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.
