The relevant statement was made by Luhansk Regional Military Administration Head Serhii Haidai on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“A total of 25 civilians have been evacuated under enemy fire from Popasna. This trip was special and very dangerous. 22 seated passengers, a 25-year-old man wounded in the back and leg on a stretcher placed on the floor, and a paralyzed elderly woman. In addition, a woman and her baby were rescued from a bomb shelter. Russians did not want to let people go; they also opened fire on the bus. Fortunately, no one was injured. People have already been taken to safety,” Haidai wrote.
Haidai expressed gratitude to the evacuation bus drivers, acting heroically every day.
