Mariupol City Council Vadym Boichenko said this on the air of FREEDOM, Ukrinform reports, referring to the Mariupol City Council’s channel on Telegram.

“As many as 31,000 people were forcibly deported to Russia or the so-called ‘DPR’. This is already verified data. Civilians are being removed from Mariupol to a filtration camp located in Novoazovsk. People have been waiting there for weeks. Filtration is very strict - fingerprints are taken, as well as biometrics. They force people to sign various documents," Boichenko said.

According to him, municipal employees or people working for government bodies are treated especially harshly.
