Ukrainian forces destroy Iskander missile in Kirovohrad region

The Kirovohrad City Council wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Sappers of the pyrotechnic work group of the emergency rescue squad for special purposes of the State Emergency Service in Kirovohrad region destroyed in an established manner a damaged enemy Iskander R 500 cruise missile, which was found in Kirovograd region," the report says.

The city council urged not to identify or approach suspicious objects, but to call specialists immediately.

As reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
