"UN promises to agree with the Russians on opening a humanitarian corridor tomorrow so that UN go there by their cars, and they promise to bring medicines and food there. We will see how it works because we have not yet managed to open a corridor to Kherson," Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for Reintegration of the Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk said during the nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Vereshchuk stressed that it was also planned to create humanitarian corridors to the populated localities of Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Kherson regions.

She specified that Russian troops did not allow evacuation buses to enter Mariupol: people are forced to travel 10 kilometers or more on their cars or on foot.

"It is very difficult for the sick and the elderly or for children. Obviously, they can't walk to Manhush, where we could take them by bus, or even to Berdyansk. This is virtually impossible," Vereshchuk stressed.

As reported, on March 24, 3,343 people were evacuated from localities where active hostilities were ongoing.
