Ukraine Army destroys more than 100 enemy aircrafts

The relevant statement was made by Air Forces Command Spokesman Yurii Ihnat, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“On March 22, 2022, the anti-aircraft defense units did not stop, having downed the 100th Russian aircraft, and caused the enemy significant losses in the air. The striking aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit ground targets: military vehicles and manpower in groups. Fighter jets were covering from the air and shot down two enemy cruise missiles,” Ihnat told.

In his words, the anti-aircraft defense units of the Ukrainian Land Forces also downed one UAV and one cruise missile. One more cruise missile was downed by the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces with a man-portable air-defense system.

In addition, according to Ihnat, the anti-aircraft missile forces destroyed 11 enemy air targets, namely five aircrafts, one helicopter, four UAVs and one cruise missile.
