“Our defense forces destroyed a column of enemy vehicles near Trostianets, Sumy region. Welcome to hell!” the press service of the Operational Command "North" posted on Facebook.
As reported, Brigadier General Oleksandr Hruzevych, Chief of Staff of the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said on Friday that Ukrainian defenders were doing everything possible to prevent the enemy from approaching Kyiv.
On February 24, Russian president Putin announced the beginning of a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops shell and destroy infrastructure, massively fire on residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, and ballistic missiles.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine, and general mobilization was announced.
