Ukraine Army launches counter-attack in some areas - General Staff

According to Ukrinform, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

"The state, situation and nature of the actions of defense forces have not changed significantly over the past 24 hours. The Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to deliver a devastating blow to groups of occupiers' troops in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and launched a counter-attack in some areas," the statement reads.

The General Staff recalled that the air defense units of the Ukrainian Air Force have destroyed three aircraft (including two Su-34s) over the past 24 hours. In addition, one helicopter, three tactical UAVs and two cruise missiles were shot down. Additional information is currently being clarified.

Ukrainian Air Force aircraft continued to launch missile and bomb strikes on ground targets. Nine air attacks were carried out on military convoys and groups of invading troops.

Invading Russian forces continue to launch missile and bomb strikes on the infrastructure and densely populated areas of Ukrainian cities.

The enemy continues to suffer losses and retreats in certain areas. The main efforts of the occupiers are focused on fortifying and holding previously occupied positions and defense areas.
