Russia already kills 97 Ukrainian children

As the Prosecutor General’s Office posted on Telegram with reference to the data of juvenile prosecutors, children are most affected in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Zhytomyr regions. At least five children die under fire every day.

The bombings and shelling have already damaged more than 400 educational institutions, 59 of which were completely destroyed. The largest number of destructions was documented in Donetsk region – 119, Kharkiv region – 50, Mykolaiv region – 30, Sumy region – 28, Kyiv region – 35, Kherson region – 21 and in Kyiv city – 24. Eleven healthcare facilities and three rehabilitation centers, including for children with disabilities, were shelled.

These data are not final, given the inability to inspect the sites, where Russia conducts active hostilities, and in the temporarily occupied territories.

On February 24, Russian president Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops shell and destroy infrastructure, conduct massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and towns using artillery, MLRS, and ballistic missiles.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced. Ukraine repels Russian invaders.
