President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Turkey and the countries of the Middle East remain the priority locations for peace talks between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia.

According to a Ukrinform correspondent, the head of state made this statement while speaking with journalists, responding to a question about whether a resumption of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia could be expected and in what format a meeting might take place.

“As for the format, where, and when—that is not up to us. We are ready for any format at any time. We all know the priority countries. Meetings have already taken place there. Turkey is open. The Middle East—there is a ceasefire there for now, so I think it’s safe for everyone. Although we are not afraid to meet at any time in any country, except for Russia and Belarus,” he said.

Zelensky emphasized that trilateral negotiations must resume.

“Yesterday, representatives of our negotiating teams from Ukraine and the United States spoke with one another. This happens constantly. We very much hope for the resumption of trilateral meetings, a return to the path leading to the end of the war,” he added.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine has approached Turkey regarding the organization of a meeting between Zelensky and Putin with the participation of Erdogan and Trump.
