Zelensky awards Hero of Ukraine title to three soldiers, two posthumously

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with the "Golden Star" Order to Yaroslav Kozub, Maksym Ocheretnyi (posthumously), and Yevhenii Lemeshenko (posthumously).

That's according to Presidential Decrees No. 70/2025No. 71/2025, and No. 72/2025, Ukrinform reports.

According to the decrees, the Hero of Ukraine title was awarded "for personal bravery and heroism in defending Ukraine's state sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for selfless service to the Ukrainian people."

On January 22, President Zelensky awarded the Hero of Ukraine title to 14 service members, nine of them posthumously.
