The Defense Contact Group of Ukraine, known as the Ramstein format, has provided a total of more than $80 billion in military assistance to Ukraine and maintains a collective effort to ensure continued support.

This was stated by Pentagon spokesman General Patrick Ryder on Tuesday following a virtual meeting of the Contact Group, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.

The spokesperson said that the Contact Group continues its collective efforts to provide international military support to Ukraine while it defends itself against Russia's unprovoked aggressive war. In total, this coalition has allocated more than $80 billion to help Ukraine in the security sector, and important work continues.

He specified that efforts are currently focused on strengthening the capabilities of the Ukrainian Air Force, artillery, naval operations, land demining, air defense, and information technology.

The Pentagon representative also emphasized that the United States, despite the absence of a decision on further support for Ukraine from Congress, continues to join the efforts of allies and partners to find opportunities to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

As reported, on Tuesday, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Charles Brown held the 18th virtual meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group. More than 50 countries participated in the meeting, which was held in the format of a virtual conference.
