Russian forces kill 362 children in Ukraine

According to Ukrinform, the Prosecutor General's Office posted this on Telegram.

"As of the morning of August 19, 2022, more than 1,078 children in Ukraine have been affected as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 362 children were killed and over 716 injured," the report said.

These numbers are not final as efforts are ongoing to establish the casualties in the areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories, the report said.

Most children were affected in Donetsk region – 376, Kharkiv region – 202, Kyiv region – 116, Chernihiv region – 68, Luhansk region – 61, Mykolaiv region – 60, Kherson region – 55, Zaporizhzhia region – 40.

It became known that on August 17, a 13-year-old boy was killed and two children aged 12 and 13 were injured after an enemy shell hit a residential building in Kharkiv.

A total of 2,328 educational institutions were damaged by Russian forces. Of them, 289 institutions were completely destroyed.
