Ukraine Army prevents enemy attempt to conduct reconnaissance operation in Kharkiv direction

This is said in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00, July 19, published on Facebook.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the rotation of units of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus, which are involved in covering the section of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border, continues. In the border areas, aerial reconnaissance with UAVs is conducted. The threat of missile and air strikes from the territory of the Republic of Belarus remains.

In the Siversk direction, units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation continue to carry out enhanced protection of the section of the Ukrainian-Russian border. The enemy fired mortars and artillery at the populated areas of Mykolaivka, Chernihiv region, and the settlements of Zarutske, Zhuravka, Bilopillia, and Iskryskivshchyna, Sumy region. Enemy units continue conducting aerial reconnaissance.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy is conducting combat operations to hold the occupied lines. Russian forces used artillery of various caliber near Rusky and Cherkasy Tyshky, Pytomnyk, Borschova, Ruska Lozova, and Chuhuiv.

The Ukrainian forces prevented enemy’s attempt to conduct reconnaissance in fighting near the settlement of Udy. The occupiers suffered losses and retreated.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy is trying to create conditions for resuming the offensive in the direction of Sloviansk. Russian forces used tanks, barrel and rocket artillery to shell areas near Velyka Komyshuvaha, Dolyna, Chepillia Dibrovne, Novomykolaivka and others.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy fired from barrel and rocket artillery near the settlements of Bilohorivka, Bohorodychne, Kramatorsk, Rayhorodok, Donetske, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Starodubivka, Siversk, Dronivka and Ivano-Daryivka. The enemy launched an airstrike near Verkhniokamianske.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy shelled the areas near Bakhmut, Novoluhanske, Pokrovske, Vuhlehirska TPP, Vershyna, Vesela Dolyna, Yakovlivka, Berestove and Zaitseve. Airstrikes were recorded in the vicinity of Vuhlehirska TPP, Mayorsk, Toretsk, Berestove, Soledar, Vershyna, Shumy, and Pokrovske. Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled all attempts of assaults in the direction of Semihirya, Vershyna, Pokrovske settlements and the territory of Vuhlehirska TPP.

In the Avdiivka, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy did not conduct active operations. An airstrike was recorded near Kamianka.

In the Southern Buh direction, the enemy uses tanks, barrel and rocket artillery to fire along the contact line, conducts aerial reconnaissance with UAVs.

The General Staff notes that the threat of missile strikes remains high throughout the territory of Ukraine, urging people not to ignore the air alert signals.
