International Center for Peacekeeping in Lviv region fired by planes from Russia’s Saratov. 9 people killed

"Today, Lviv region was hit by missiles fired, according to preliminary data, from planes in Saratov, Russia. They fired without flying into our territory. According to preliminary data, 30 missiles were fired. Air defense units reacted. Several missiles were shot down. The Yavoriv military training area came under attack. At the moment, 57 injured and wounded people are in hospitals. Nine heroes were killed," Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi said at a press briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Since the Yavoriv training area is located not far from the populated localities, civilians were also injured and taken to a hospital, although the strikes were launched on military targets. The State Emergency Service workers are currently at the Center for Peacekeeping, putting out the fire and clearing rubble away.

As reported, on March 13, Russian aggressors launched an airstrike on the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security in Lviv region (former Yavoriv training area of the Land Forces of Ukraine).

The war against Russian invaders has been ongoing in Ukraine since February 24.
