Over 60% of Ukrainians trust Zelensky – KIIS

Sixty-one percent of Ukrainians trust Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

That is according to a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), Ukrinform reports.

According to the poll, 61% of respondents trust Zelensky, while 32% do not. The trust-distrust balance stands at +29 percentage points.

At the beginning of October, trust indicators were almost identical.

At the same time, levels of trust in the president are dynamic. Among respondents surveyed by KIIS in November (November 26-30), 49% trusted Zelensky, while among those surveyed in December (December 1-13), the figure rose to 63% (and to 65% during the week of December 8-13).

From November 26 to December 13, KIIS conducted a nationwide public opinion survey, Omnibus, in which it added, on its own initiative, questions related to war and peace, trust in Western partners, and the domestic situation. Using the CATI method (computer-assisted telephone interviews) based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers across all regions of Ukraine (in government-controlled territory), 547 respondents aged 18 and older were surveyed.

Under normal circumstances, the statistical margin of error of the sample (with a probability of 0.95 and taking into account a design effect of 1.3) would not exceed 5.6% for indicators close to 50%, 4.8% for indicators close to 25%, 3.4% for indicators close to 10%, and 2.5% for indicators close to 5%. Under wartime conditions, in addition to the stated formal margin of error, a certain systematic bias is also present.
