At the end of the week, the Ukrainian and U.S. delegations will continue working on aligning the points developed after meetings in Geneva in order to move toward peace and security guarantees.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his nightly video address, Ukrinform reports, citing his Telegram channel.

According to the head of state, the defense of Ukrainian positions and resistance on the frontline, as well as joint work with partners to strengthen diplomatic capabilities, are equally important now.

"Our team, together with American representatives, will continue to translate the points we secured in Geneva into a form that puts us on the path to peace and security guarantees. There will be a meeting of delegations," Zelensky said.

He also stressed that the Ukrainian delegation would be well-prepared and focused on substantive work.

"We remain in close contact with the American side and our European friends. I am also briefing our partners in other parts of the world, and I am grateful to them for their support of our sovereignty and our state," Zelensky said.

He stressed that Ukraine was doing everything possible to ensure that it has sufficient defense support.

On November 23 this year, a meeting was held in Geneva between Ukrainian, American, and European officials, during which the parties discussed a peace plan proposal presented by Washington aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. Following the negotiations in Geneva, Ukraine and the United States agreed to continue working on joint proposals for a peace agreement. The parties reaffirmed that any future agreement must fully respect Ukraine's sovereignty and ensure a lasting and just peace. After the talks, the delegations prepared an updated and revised peace framework document.

On November 25, during a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, Zelensky stressed that despite certain positive results in the Geneva peace talks, Ukraine still needs support from its allies.
