Zelensky: people still trapped under rubble in Ternopil

In Ternopil, rescue operations continue after Russia’s overnight missile strike, assistance is being provided to the injured. People remain trapped under the rubble.

According to Ukrinform, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported this on Telegram.

“Right now, all our services keep working in Ternopil to help the victims and save as many lives as possible. Points of Invincibility have been set up, where people can receive the support they need,” the head of state said.

Zelensky added that Ternopil suffered the greatest losses during the night.

“As of now, we know that this strike by Russia has claimed 25 lives, including three children. Once again, the Russians have killed innocent, peaceful people who were simply sleeping in their homes. My condolences to everyone who has lost family members and loved ones. 93 people have been injured. They are receiving medical care. There are still people trapped under the rubble, and first responders are continuing search and rescue operations,” the President emphasized.

Zelensky stressed that the aggressor will not stop on its own.

“Russia will never stop on its own. Their goal is to continue killing and destroying life in Ukraine,” he said.

The President thanked partners who are ready to increase pressure on Russia and support Ukraine.

“Every life matters. Every life must be protected,” Zelensky concluded.

As reported, the number of injured in Ternopil after the Russian missile strike has risen to 92 people, including 18 children; 25 people were killed.
