U.S. President Donald Trump announced that his administration intends to supply more defensive weapons to Ukraine.

He made this statement during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

“We’re going to send some more weapons. We have to,” the U.S. President said.

According to him, Ukrainians must be able to defend themselves. “They're getting hit very hard now,” Trump noted, pointing out that many people are dying in Ukraine.

"We're going to have to send more weapons, defensive weapons, primarily," he stressed.

As reported by Ukrinform, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt denied that the U.S. government had deliberately halted arms deliveries to Ukraine amid large-scale Russian attacks. She called it a “pause” for a standard review of existing weapons.
