Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov emphasized in The Hague that continuous military assistance from allies and regular meetings in the Ramstein format are key contributions to Ukraine's ability to win.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Umerov's Facebook page.

“During my visit to The Hague, I took part in a panel discussion at the NATO Public Forum. It was an important conversation about the main issue: how to strengthen Ukraine to achieve a just and lasting peace,” Umerov said.

“First of all, I thanked every country that supports us in this war. I particularly emphasized the critical role of continuous military assistance and regular meetings in the Ramstein format—this is truly a key contribution to our resilience and ability to win,” Umerov stressed.

He stated, “I clearly outlined Ukraine's position: we want peace—a lasting ceasefire, prisoner exchange, and direct talks at the leadership level,” and emphasized, “Ukraine is capable of winning. But this requires decisive, systematic support from our allies.”

According to Umerov, “Ukraine's priorities were clearly outlined to our partners: air defense to protect cities and the lives of civilians, the development of the defense industry as a contribution to the strength of the entire Euro-Atlantic community, and the creation of an effective system of security guarantees, such as the Coalition of the Willing.”

“We are striving for membership in the EU and NATO. But we are already building a strong Ukraine with a strong army. Because a strong Ukraine is the foundation for lasting peace in Europe,” Umerov emphasized.
