The coordination headquarters of the SBU’s operation on Russian territory was located directly next to one of the FSB regional offices.

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in an evening address to the nation, Ukrinform reports.

The Head of State thanked the SBU, personally the head of the agency, General Vasyl Maliuk, and everyone involved in the operation.

According to the President, the mission had been prepared for more than 18 months.

"The planning, organization, all the details had been prepared perfectly. We can say with confidence that this is an absolutely unique operation. The most interesting thing - and we can already say this publicly now - the ‘headquarters’ of our operation on Russia’s territory was located directly next to the Russian FSB office in one of their regions," Zelensky noted.

In total, according to the president, 117 drones were utilized during the mission, with the correspondent number of operators.

"34% of strategic cruise missile carriers at the airfields were hit. Our people operated in different Russian regions – in three time zones. And our people were extracted from Russian territory on the eve of the operation, now those who helped us are safe," the President informed.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on June 1, the SBU ran a unique special operation, “Spiderweb”, simultaneously attacking four Russian airfields - “Belaya”, “Diagilevo”, “Olenya” and “Ivanovo”.
