Biden announces provision of $1B in security assistance to Ukraine

U.S. President Joe Biden announced the provision of $1 billion in security assistance to Ukraine.
This is stated in the Memorandum for the Secretary of State released on the website of the White House.
As noted, the drawdown of up to $1 billion will be directed in defense articles and services of the Department of Defense, and military education and training, to provide assistance to Ukraine.
As reported, Washington will announce this week the provision of Patriot air defense systems and precision bomb kits to Ukraine.
