The leader of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, David Arakhamia, said that more than 40,000 women and children from all over Ukraine had been evacuated in one day.
"Over 40,000 women and children from all over Ukraine were evacuated in one day. We tried to evacuate 100,000, but an attempt failed. We continue to work on the most problematic areas: Mariupol, Kharkiv and Kyiv region," Arakhamia wrote on Facebook.
As Ukrinform reported, more than 5,000 people without food, water and heat need to be evacuated from the city of Izium, Kharkiv region. The evacuation convoy, which was moving from Enerhodar along the "green corridor,” reached Zaporizhzhia.
