FSB claims Ukrainian was involved in liquidation of “military blogger” Tatarsky

According to the FSB, Denisov delivered an explosive device "camouflaged as a plaster bust of a military correspondent" to Trepova in Moscow through an intermediary using an express delivery service. In February 2023, Denisov allegedly traveled from Kyiv via Latvia to the Moscow region, where he collected information about Tatarsky. For this purpose, he bought a car and rented an apartment near the "military correspondent" place of residence, according to the FSB.

On April 3, after the terrorist attack, Denisov fled Russia and transited through Armenia to Turkey, the FSB said. They added that the procedure for putting Denisov on the international wanted list had been initiated.

The FSB also claimed that Trepova committed the crime as a result of "repeated calls" by Anti-Corruption Foundation heads Leonid Volkov and Ivan Zhdanov for "subversive activities" in Russia. "The organizers of the terrorist attack in St. Petersburg, which resulted in the death of Vladlen Tatarsky, were the Ukrainian special services and their agents, including Russian oppositionists, who were hiding abroad," the FSB summarized, effectively including Navalny's team in the "Ukrainian agents".

As reported, on April 2, an explosion occurred at the Streetbar cafe in St. Petersburg during a "creative meeting" with Z-military  correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky. The meeting could have been attended by Putin's "cook" in person. The statuette was brought by Daria Trepova.

The real name of the murdered man was Maxim Fomin. He was from Makiivka, had a criminal record, and fought for several years on the side of the puppet "DPR." When he became a blogger, Fomin took the modified name of the protagonist of Viktor Pelevin's novel "Generation P," Vavilen Tatarsky, as his pseudonym.

Fomin became widely known when, on September 30, 2022, after the ceremony of "acceptance into the Russian Federation" of the annexed Ukrainian regions, he published a video from the sidelines in which he said: "We will defeat everyone, kill everyone, rob everyone we need. Everything will be as we like it."
