Critical infrastructure object on fire in Kyiv region, incident unrelated to hostilities

Around 06:00 a.m., January 14, 2023, explosions were heard in the Kyiv region.

The relevant statement was made by Kyiv Regional Military Head Oleksii Kuleba on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“One of critical infrastructure objects caught fire. Relevant services are working at the scene,” Kuleba wrote.

Deputy Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk noted that the explosions heard in the city of Kyiv are unrelated to any military actions.

Meanwhile, Russians are actively using reports on blast sounds to spread messages about the so-called offensive from the north. There are no offensive actions from the north at the moment, Pavliuk stressed.
