Russian troops have attacked the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region with Grad MLRS and heavy artillery. Nikopol city has been affected the most.

Valentyn Reznichenko, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The Russian occupation forces terrorized the Nikopol district with Grad MLRS and heavy artillery all night. Nikopol was affected the most. There, the occupiers wounded a 59-year-old man. He is in the hospital. His condition is serious,” Reznichenko wrote.

According to him, more than 30 apartment blocks and private buildings, gas pipelines and power lines were damaged in the city. More than 2,000 families were left without electricity. Power engineers are already working at the sites.

"Russian shells also hit a hospital, a kindergarten, a local history museum, a cathedral, shops, a farmers’ market, a factory, and a post office," the governor wrote.

At the same time, he added that people in the Marhanets community were not injured during the strikes.

The scale of damage is being clarified.

"In other areas, air raid alerts went off, but there were no enemy attacks. As of now, it is calm," Reznichenko concluded.
