Ukraine gets 25 tonnes of humanitarian aid from Canada

Ukraine has already received seven batches of humanitarian aid from Canada with a total weight of more than 25 tonnes to overcome the consequences of Russian aggression.

"Ukraine has already received seven batches of humanitarian aid from the Canadian side with a total weight of more than 25 tonnes! Currently, we are waiting for transformers of various voltage classes which are urgently needed by the energy sector, offered by our Canadian partners," Energy Minister of Ukraine German Galushchenko said during a meeting with Canada's Minister of Natural Resources Jonathan Wilkinson, Ukrinform reports.

Galushchenko added that he had discussed the need to expand sanctions on the Russian nuclear industry, the promising projects for the future, and further cooperation on restoring the Ukrainian energy sector and preparing for next winter with his foreign colleague.

As reported, 30 countries have already provided humanitarian aid to Ukraine’s energy sector, namely 470 cargoes with a total weight of about 6,000 tonnes. They were distributed among 111 enterprises of the energy sector.
