According to Ukrinform, the corresponding decree No. 847/2025 was published on the website of the head of state.
The decree states that journalists, photographers, and television operators are awarded the Order of Merit and the Order of Princess Olha "for their significant personal contribution to the development of television, radio broadcasting, and communications in Ukraine, high professionalism and dedication demonstrated during the coverage of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, and many years of conscientious work."
In particular, the head of state posthumously awarded the Order of Merit III degree to correspondent Olena Hubanova and cameraman Yevhen Karmazin of the State Enterprise “Multimedia Platform of Foreign Broadcasting of Ukraine,” as well as photojournalist Anton Lallikan of the Hans Lucas agency (France).

As reported by Ukrinform, November 16 is celebrated in Ukraine as Radio, Television, and Communications Workers' Day. This professional holiday was established by presidential decree in 1994 in recognition of the important role these workers play in the development of society and ensuring the information stability of the state.
