Russia’s war casualty toll in Ukraine up by 1,070 over past day

As of July 8, 2025, the total combat losses of Russian forces in the war against Ukraine since February 24, 2022, are estimated at approximately 1,028,610 personnel, including 1,070 in the past 24 hours.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

In addition, Russia’s total equipment losses include: 10,995 (+0) tanks, 22,967 (+4) armored fighting vehicles, 30,034 (+41) artillery systems, 1,434 (+2) multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 1,192 (+0) air defense systems, 421 (+0) aircraft, 340 (+0) helicopters, 44,230 (+172) tactical UAVs, 3,439 (+0) cruise missiles, 28 (+0) warships/boats, one (+0) submarine, 54,456 (+86) vehicles and fuel tanks, 3,927 (+0) units of special equipment.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, operators of FPV drones from the 15th Mobile Border Detachment Steel Border identified and struck a Murom-P surveillance system, a fuel depot, and a Russian checkpoint.
