He stated this at a meeting with Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel in Kyiv on Tuesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"My message is very simple. We've had phone conversations with Xi Jinping, and he assured me that China would not sell weapons to the Russians. [However], we see that China has supplied the Russian Federation with machinery used for weapons [production]. We also see that [China] is helping Moscow circumvent sanctions. And we've seen Chinese mercenaries fighting against Ukrainian troops," Zelensky said.
He stressed that he would like China to put pressure on Russia to end the war and to refrain from providing any assistance that would enable its continuation.

Trump noted that Xi could have significant influence over Vladimir Putin as well as over many others.
He also said he planned to raise the issue of ending China's purchases of Russian oil during the talks.
Trump is scheduled to meet Xi in South Korea on October 30 as part of his tour of Asian countries.
