Almost 13,000 schools operating in Ukraine – education minister

As many as 12,912 schools are currently operating in Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, Ukraine's Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet said this in a statement on Telegram.
According to him, the educational process continues for the second month in kindergartens, schools, vocational schools, colleges and universities.
As of October 3, over 2.126 million students studied in a full-time or mixed format in 7,714 schools.
Due to the security situation, 5,198 institutions of general secondary education are operating remotely.
In addition, 34,900 students with special educational needs study in more than 25,000 inclusive classrooms.
Some 161,389 students who are internally displaced persons are also involved in the educational process in Ukraine, the minister said.
