This is according to a Pew Research Center poll released ahead of Trump's meeting with Putin, Ukrinform reports.
Specifically, 59% of respondents said they were "not too confident" or "not confident at all" that Trump can make "wise decisions" about Russia's war against Ukraine.

About three-in-ten (28%) say he is striking about the right balance. At the same time, 32% of Americans were undecided.
The survey was conducted from August 4 to 10 among 3,554 U.S. adults.
