A new propaganda campaign in schools in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine aims to instill loyalty to the Russian occupiers in children.

According to Ukrinform, the Eastern Human Rights Group stated this on Facebook.

"On the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, a new propaganda campaign has been launched – 'Week Before Defender of the Motherland Day.' Under the slogans of 'serving the Motherland' and 'proper upbringing,' children are systematically indoctrinated with loyalty to the aggressor state. At a school in the city of Svitlodarsk, during a 'Conversations About Important Things' lesson, fifth-graders are told about the 'feats of heroes,' 'honorable military service,' and the 'heroes of the DPR,'" the statement says.

It is noted that after such brainwashing, children are encouraged to join the all-Russian campaign "Our Defenders of the Motherland." They are urged to follow the example of those fighting on the side of the occupation regime.

In this way, human rights defenders point out, a new value system is being imposed in which war is normalized and serving the occupier is portrayed as a virtue. Particularly telling is the involvement of children themselves as instruments of propaganda – through "class monitors," "patriotic sectors," and collective performances. An environment is being created in which refusal to participate means isolation and pressure. Schools are turning into platforms for political mobilization.

"The war continues not only on the front line; it continues in the minds of children, and it is there that the occupation regime is trying to entrench itself for decades," the human rights activists emphasize.

As Ukrinform previously reported, behavior grades will appear in the diaries of students in the temporarily occupied territories.
