The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported the figures on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
"Today, 15 communities in the Sumy region are located in the border zone and are under constant enemy fire. Over 4,700 residential buildings have been damaged due to enemy attacks. Thanks to the compensation program, more than 1,000 families have already received assistance totaling over UAH 614 million," the statement said.
The regional military administration noted that one of the main challenges is the inability to inspect destroyed properties due to the security situation.
"We have initiated the use of drones for photographic documentation and proposed that compensation funds be allowed not only for repairs but also for purchasing or renting alternative housing," the administration added.
